Writer's Block & PROCRASTINATION Help

Private online hypnosis for authors, writers and content creators who know what they want to write, but struggle to get the words onto the page.

Many people dream of writing a book. Others need to create articles, blogs, newsletters, websites or social media content as part of their work. Yet despite having the ideas, the experience and every intention of getting started, sitting down to write can feel strangely difficult.

If you've ever found yourself staring at a blank page, endlessly reorganising your desk, promising you'll start tomorrow, or feeling overwhelmed by the size of the project ahead, you're certainly not alone. Writer's block is rarely a lack of creativity. More often, it's the subconscious mind quietly associating writing with pressure, uncertainty or emotional effort.

That's where a personalised live hypnosis session can help.

Together, we'll identify what's really getting in your way and gently change your relationship with the writing process itself. The aim isn't simply to help you write more words. It's to help writing feel natural, enjoyable and achievable again, so that the ideas already inside you can finally find their way onto the page.

Why Writer's Block Isn't Really About Writing

One of the biggest surprises for many clients is discovering that writer's block usually isn't about writing at all.

Most people I meet already know what they want to say. They have the knowledge, the experience and often a clear picture of the finished result. Yet somewhere between opening the laptop and typing the first sentence, something changes. The project suddenly feels bigger, heavier or more complicated than it really is.

Your subconscious mind isn't trying to stop you succeeding. More often, it's trying to protect you from uncertainty, perfectionism, overwhelm or the fear that what you produce won't quite match what you imagined.

Trying harder rarely solves that problem. In fact, it often makes it worse.

That's why our work together isn't about forcing yourself to become more disciplined or waiting for inspiration to arrive. Instead, we change the way your mind responds to the writing process itself, so that beginning becomes easier, momentum becomes more natural and writing starts to feel like something you can simply get on with again.

Why I Take Such a Practical Approach

As a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist with more than twenty years' experience, I've helped people overcome a wide variety of personal and professional challenges. One pattern I've seen again and again is this: people often know exactly what they want to do, yet still find themselves struggling to begin, delaying the task, or losing momentum along the way.

Writing is one of the clearest examples.

Alongside my clinical work, I've written a number of books myself, collaborated on many others, and helped aspiring authors, speakers and business owners develop and complete writing projects of their own. I've also run workshops for people who wanted to write a book but weren't sure how to get started or maintain the process once the initial enthusiasm had faded.

Those experiences have shown me that writing is as much about mindset as it is about ideas. When the emotional barriers are removed and the process feels lighter, calmer and more manageable, the words often begin to flow much more naturally.

FINDING Your Flow STATE

Most writers have experienced it at least once :The Flow State.

You sit down with no great expectations, begin almost absent-mindedly, and before you know it an hour has disappeared. The words seem to arrive naturally, ideas connect effortlessly, and writing feels less like hard work and more like a conversation with yourself.

That's the state many people describe as flow.

When writer's block takes hold, it can feel as though that version of you has disappeared. In reality, it hasn't. It's simply become buried beneath pressure, perfectionism, overthinking or the sheer weight of the project you've set yourself.

One of the aims of our work together is to make that productive, enjoyable state easier to access again. Not by forcing it, but by removing the unnecessary friction that stands between you and the work you already want to do.

Because once your writing begins to flow again, everything else tends to become much simpler.

Let's Get Things Moving

No two writers arrive with exactly the same challenge.

Some feel completely stuck before they've written a single chapter. Others have a manuscript that's been sitting unfinished for months or even years. Some have no difficulty finding ideas but struggle to maintain momentum, while others know exactly what they want to say yet find themselves repeatedly putting the work off until another day.

That's why every live session is tailored to you.

Together, we'll identify the real obstacle, whether that's writer's block, procrastination, perfectionism, self-doubt, overwhelm or simply losing your sense of direction, and develop a practical way of working through it.

Using hypnosis alongside proven psychological strategies, we'll begin changing your relationship with writing itself, making it easier to get started, easier to stay engaged, and much easier to rediscover those valuable periods of calm, productive flow.

The goal isn't simply to help you write more.

It's to help writing become something you look forward to rather than something you feel you ought to do.

One Session... or More?

Every client is different.

Some people experience a significant breakthrough in a single session and simply need a fresh perspective to get their writing moving again. Mission accomplished!

Others choose to return for further sessions, allowing us to build on that progress, overcome additional obstacles, strengthen productive habits and maintain momentum as larger projects develop.

There's no programme to commit to and no pressure to book more than you need.

We'll simply decide together what feels most appropriate for you, one step at a time.

  • Choose a date and time that suits you, up to one month in advance. Sessions normally run for 45–60 minutes and begin on the hour.

  • After booking, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing your Zoom link and session details.
